AIIMS Bhopal Junior Resident Recruitment 2026: Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhopal (AIIMS Bhopal) is holding a walk-in interview for Junior Residents (Non-Academic) at its Saket Nagar campus. These are contract resident doctor posts: you work in the hospital as a resident, but you are not enrolled in a postgraduate course. It suits MBBS doctors who want hands-on hospital experience at an Institute of National Importance without a long-term commitment.

There is no online form for this drive. You fill the prescribed paper form, walk in on the interview day, and the institute decides on the spot whether a written screening test is needed based on how many doctors turn up.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The first term is six months, extendable by another six months. Going beyond two terms is possible only in selected cases.
• Nature of job: The appointment is purely contractual and on a need basis.
• Internship window: Your internship must have been completed within five years counted back from the interview date, and you need valid NMC or State Medical Council registration.
• Private practice: Private practice of any type is prohibited once you are selected.
• Shifts and posting: You may work in shifts and can be posted to any department or unit within the Institute.
• Serving employees: If you work in a Central or State Government body, autonomous institution or PSU, you must bring a No Objection Certificate. Without it you will not be allowed into the test or interview.
• Earlier terminations: Doctors whose earlier Junior Resident (NA) service was ended on disciplinary grounds cannot be considered again.
• Category certificates: OBC (non-creamy layer) and EWS certificates must be issued on or after 1 April 2026 to count as valid.
• PwBD reservation: One of the posts is for a person with benchmark disability, under the Government of India's horizontal reservation rules.
• Foreign medical graduates: Bring your FMGE certificate issued by NBE.
• Travel costs: No TA/DA is paid for attending the selection.

Application Submission Notes

Download the prescribed application form from the AIIMS Bhopal website and bring it filled in on the interview day. Report at 4th Floor, Deanery, Kautilya Bhawan, AIIMS Bhopal; reporting starts at 9:00 AM and interviews begin at 10:30 AM.

Doctors who arrive after 10:00 AM will not be considered. If you have to pay the fee, carry a demand draft in favour of "Executive Director, AIIMS, Bhopal", along with your original certificates and one set of self-attested copies.
