DHS Erode Multi-Post Recruitment 2026: Overview

District Health Society (DHS), Erode, under Tamil Nadu's Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, is filling 19 different contract posts across Government Hospital Erode, Erode Medical College Hospital at Perundurai, block and urban primary health centres and Urban Health and Wellness Centres. The roles sit under health schemes such as NTEP (tuberculosis), ICTC (HIV testing), immunisation, NCD and MTM.

The range is wide — from 8th-pass support staff and drivers to MBBS doctors. The biggest group is Health Inspector (MTM), spread over more than a dozen PHC areas of the district, so candidates from rural Erode have a real chance of a posting close to home.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Purely temporary: All posts are on contract and will not be made permanent at any time.
• Number of posts: The number of vacancies listed is subject to change.
• Non-interview posts: Medical Officer (HWC), Mid-Level Health Provider, Health Inspector (MTM) and Hospital Worker / Support Staff are marked as non-interview posts. For these, attach all your mark sheets in full — otherwise the application will be rejected.
• Tamil: Health Inspector (MTM) needs Tamil as a subject at SSLC level, and Multi Purpose Hospital Worker needs the ability to read and write Tamil.
• Two-wheeler: STS and STLS posts need a permanent two-wheeler driving licence and the ability to ride one.
• Pharmacy registration: UPHC Pharmacists must be registered with the Tamil Nadu Pharmacy Council and renew it every year.
• Preference: Graduates get preference for Lab Technician (NTEP), and candidates with echocardiography experience in government or recognised hospitals may get preference for ECHO Technician.
