AIIMS BBSR Project Coordinator and Consultant Recruitment 2026: Overview
All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar (AIIMS BBSR) is recruiting a Project Coordinator and Consultant in Epidemiology for the Regional Institute for HIV Surveillance & Epidemiology project. The project runs under Dr Arvind Kumar Singh, Additional Professor, in the Community Medicine and Family Medicine department. These are temporary contractual appointments connected to a public-health surveillance project, with field activity extending across multiple states.
Posts and Disciplines
- Project Coordinator: A project position linked to HIV surveillance, programme coordination and support for field activities. You work within the project led by the principal investigator.
- Consultant (Epidemiology): A consultancy position within the same surveillance and epidemiology project. The notice assigns the same work profile to both posts, so it does not set out separate day-to-day responsibilities for them.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Initial term: Both appointments start with six months. Renewal depends on satisfactory performance and available project funds; it is not automatic.
- Extension decisions: Further service also depends on the project’s needs, performance assessment and approval by the competent authority for the individual appointment.
- Contract status: Your work does not create a right to a regular post at AIIMS, the funding agency or another Government of India department. It also does not guarantee another assignment or transfer to a different project.
- Joining undertaking: You must accept the contractual conditions through an undertaking when joining. Read those conditions before deciding whether the engagement suits you.
- Leaving the engagement: Either side can give one month’s notice. The institute can end the contract earlier by paying the equivalent contractual amount, but you cannot replace your own notice period with payment and must serve it in full.
- Leave: Leave follows the funding agency or institutional policy applicable to AIIMS BBSR contract staff.
- Recruitment discretion: AIIMS may change or cancel the recruitment process. The Director’s decision on accepting or rejecting a candidature is final.
- Conduct: False information may disqualify you at any stage. Attempts to influence the recruitment through canvassing also lead to disqualification.
- Updates: Any further information or amendment will appear on the institute’s website. Check it before travelling because the announced interview schedule is tentative.
