The Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) is the research wing of Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), one of India's leading cancer care and research institutions under the Department of Atomic Energy. Under advertisement number OS-A/82/2026, ACTREC is looking for a Scientific Assistant to work in its Hematopathology and Cytogenetics laboratory, where blood cancers like leukaemia and lymphoma are studied through blood, bone marrow and chromosome tests. There is no written exam — selection is through a single walk-in interview. The post is offered on a contract basis through A-1 Facility and Property Managers Pvt. Ltd., an outsourced manpower agency.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have an M.Tech or B.Tech in Biotechnology, or an M.Sc in Zoology, Medical or Human Genetics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Botany, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences or Applied Biology.
• Experience: One year of experience in Hematopathology is preferred. Freshers who meet the qualification can also attend.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 30 years.
• Age Relaxation: The age limit can be relaxed for candidates with relevant work experience.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 28,450 to Rs. 35,000 per month.
• The exact amount depends on your experience above the basic eligibility.
• The engagement is for 6 months and can be extended based on requirement.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is fully based on a walk-in interview. There is no online test or written exam.
