King George's Medical University (KGMU) Junior Research Assistant Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

King George's Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow has released a notification for 1 Junior Research Assistant position under the CST-UP funded project titled "Multiparametric MRI-Based Radiomics and Machine Learning Models for Diagnosis and Classification of Renal Tumors". The project is supervised by Dr. Durgesh K. Dwivedi, Additional Professor, Department of Radiodiagnosis, KGMU. This is a contractual position for 1 year, renewable annually based on performance. Selected candidates may also be considered for admission to KGMU's PhD programs as regular full-time scholars if they meet the eligibility criteria.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• M.Sc. in Life Science, Physics, or Chemistry, or equivalent degree, OR
• B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science (CS), Electronics & Communication (EC), Electrical Engineering (EE), or Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent
• You must have good grades in both graduation and post-graduation examinations

Preferred Qualifications

• Candidates who have secured first division in all examinations will be preferred
• Qualifying NET / GATE or equivalent national level examination is preferred
• Programming experience, especially in MATLAB, is a plus
• Interest in Renal Cancer, Cancer Biology, AI, and MRI research
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills

Age Limit

• Upper age limit: 28 years as on 1 April 2023
• Age relaxation is available as per the norms of UP Council of Science and Technology (UP-CST)

Salary

• Emoluments will be paid as per the UP-CST norms for the project (Ref: CST/D-1381, Dated 20/10/2023)
• Duration: 1 year (contractual, renewable annually based on performance)
• Exact monthly stipend is not mentioned in the notification — please check with the Principal Investigator

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection will be based on:

1. Shortlisting of candidates based on application, CV, and research statement
2. Personal Interview on 21 May 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Office of the HOD, Department of Radiodiagnosis, KGMU, Lucknow
3. Document Verification with original certificates at the time of interview

Note: The interview is in-person only. No online interview will be conducted. No call letters will be sent separately, and no TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
