Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India has released Advertisement No. 03/2026 dated 18 May 2026 for the recruitment of Teaching Faculty on contract basis at ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Pandeypur, Varanasi (UP). The recruitment covers 19 medical departments with a total of 9 Professor, 16 Associate Professor, 8 Assistant Professor and 12 Senior Resident posts. The engagement is for one year, extendable up to three years.

Note: Any candidate can be appointed against any unfilled vacant reserved category post for 44 days with provision of possible extension. Candidates of unreserved category can apply against EWS posts.

Who Can Apply?

For Professor

• You need MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject from a recognised institution
• You should have at least 3 years of teaching experience as Associate Professor in a recognised medical institution
• Two research publications after becoming Associate Professor (must be among first three authors)

For Associate Professor

• You need MD/MS in the concerned subject
• You should have served as Assistant Professor for 4 years in a recognised medical institution (or 5 years for those appointed directly as Assistant Professor in Government medical institution)
• Two research publications after becoming Assistant Professor

For Assistant Professor and Senior Resident

• You need MBBS with MD/MS/DNB in the relevant subject
• State/NMC Medical Registration Certificate is mandatory

Age Limit

• The contract will be valid for 1 year or until you attain 70 years of age, whichever is earlier
• Date for eligibility of qualifying degree/experience: 03 June 2026

Salary

• Professor: Fixed basic pay of Rs. 1,23,100 per month plus admissible allowances
• Associate Professor: Fixed basic pay of Rs. 78,800 per month plus admissible allowances
• Assistant Professor: Fixed basic pay of Rs. 67,700 per month plus admissible allowances
• Senior Resident: Fixed basic pay of Rs. 67,700 per month plus admissible allowances
• Retired employees/pensioners can continue to draw pension and dearness relief along with the contractual pay

Application Fee

• SC / ST / ESIC Regular Employees / Female Candidates / Defence Ex-servicemen / PH Candidates: No fee
• Payment mode: Demand Draft in favor of ESI Fund A/c No.-1, payable at Varanasi
• Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances

Selection Process

Selection will be done in the following steps:

1. Walk-in Interview: Held offline and online on the specified dates at ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Varanasi
2. Academic Credentials Assessment: Based on your degrees, experience, and publications
3. Document Verification: Original documents and a Demand Draft (if applicable as Interview Fee) must be carried on the date of interview between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM

Final selection is based on academic credentials and performance in the interview before the Selection Board. The result will be displayed on www.esic.gov.in and the offer of appointment will be sent through email.

• Mark attendance daily on the Aadhaar Enabled Bio-metric Attendance System (AEBAS)
