Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi has released an advertisement for the position of Research Associate (RA-1) under the ICSSR-NSTC (Taiwan) Joint Research Project. The project is titled "AI-Driven System on Paving the Way to Social Welfare Towards Accelerating Renewable Energy Management and Carbon Emission Mitigation" (File No.: ICSSR-NSTC (Taiwan)/JRP-1/2025-26/IC). This is a purely contractual position on a fully funded research project. Ph.D holders in Electrical Engineering and senior M.Tech holders with research background can apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Essential Qualification (Option 1): Ph.D in Electrical Engineering or any allied branches with at least one paper in a SCI journal.
• Essential Qualification (Option 2): M.E / M.Tech in Electrical Engineering or any allied branches with 3 years of research, teaching, and design and development experience, along with at least one paper in a SCI journal.

Desirable Skills

• Domain knowledge of renewable energy systems, microgrids, and carbon emission studies.
• Familiarity with AI/ML techniques (Python, MATLAB, etc.) for application in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in data handling, simulation tools, and research writing.

Age Limit

• The upper age limit is 35 years.
• Age relaxation is available as per Government of India norms.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 47,000 per month.
• This is a fixed, all-inclusive amount with no separate allowances.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on shortlisting and an interview:

1. Shortlisting: The Principal Investigator may restrict the number of candidates called for interview based on qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed.
2. Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be informed by email to appear for the interview. No compensation will be given for attending the interview.
3. Document Verification: Originals must be presented at the time of interview or joining.
