Samagra Shiksha Axom Officer In-charge Inclusive Education Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post
Samagra Shiksha, Axom (notification number 784017/SSA-15015/11/2026/I/1554602/2026) invites online applications from Indian citizens for the post of Officer In-charge, Inclusive Education at its State Mission Office in Kahilipara, Guwahati. The engagement is for an initial period of 11 (eleven) months on a temporary contractual basis. The post will not be regularised in future and the selected candidate will not have any claim for permanent absorption.
Who Can Apply?
- Qualification: You must have a Post Graduate Degree with 5 years of relevant experience at District or State level in any Government Department, Society, University, College, Reputed Research Organisation.
- Special Experience: Minimum 3 years working experience with an organisation dealing with education of children with disabilities.
- RCI Membership: You must be a Registered Member of the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
- Special Education: You must hold a Degree or Diploma in Special Education.
- Health: You must be in good mental and physical health, free from any defect likely to interfere with the duties of the post.
- Nationality: You must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
Age Limit
- You should be between 18 and 62 years old as on 01 January 2026.
- Age will be calculated only on the basis of Matriculation / HSLC Admit Card or Pass Certificate issued by a recognised Board / Council. No other document is accepted.
Salary
- Pay Band: Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 1,10,000 per month
- Grade Pay: Rs. 13,300
- The post is purely contractual for an initial period of 11 months.
- The engagement will not be regularised in any government job in future.
Selection Process
Selection is based on the following stages:

Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of Inclusive Education programmes for children with disabilities across Assam
- Coordinate with district level officers, schools, and special educators on accessibility
- Plan, monitor and review intervention activities for CWSN (Children With Special Needs)
- Prepare progress reports, budget proposals and review documents for the State Mission Office
- Liaise with the Rehabilitation Council of India, NGOs and special education institutes
- Conduct training programmes for teachers, special educators and resource persons
- Ensure compliance with Right to Education Act and RPwD Act provisions for CWSN
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
Post Graduate Degree with 5 years of relevant experience at District/State level + RCI membership + Degree/Diploma in Special Education
Preferred Qualification
Post Graduate degree with Special Education specialisation and additional experience in CWSN programmes
Required Skills
Inclusive Education planning, Project management, RCI registration, Special Education qualification, Knowledge of disability education programmes
