VDU Guest Faculty Continuation Order 2025-26

Vikram Dev University (VDU), Jeypore has issued an Office Order for engagement of 68 Guest Faculties for academic session 2025-2026. Already-engaged Guest Faculties from session 2024-2025 are allowed to continue for one more year or till regular faculties are recruited - whichever is earlier. They should report on 25 June 2025 in their respective departments. Honorarium is Rs. 500 per class with a maximum of Rs. 25,000 per month (max 50 classes per month).

Vikram Dev University (VDU), Jeypore, Koraput district, Odisha has issued Office Order No. 1535/VDU/25 dated 20 June 2025 in pursuance of Government of Odisha, Department of Higher Education office letter No.30671/HE dated 11.06.2025. 68 Guest Faculties engaged during academic session 2024-2025 are allowed to continue for session 2025-2026 as per the guidelines for managing vacancies in State Public Universities (SPUs) through Retired / Guest / Adjunct faculties. This order covers 17 different departments across the University.

Who Can Apply?

This is a continuation Office Order, not a fresh recruitment notification. The 68 named candidates already engaged as Guest Faculties during session 2024-2025 are being allowed to continue. Future eligibility for guest faculty positions at VDU generally follows these conditions:

• Qualification: Post Graduate degree in the relevant subject with required percentage of marks
• NET / SLET / Ph.D: As per UGC norms for assistant professor positions
• Subject expertise in any of the 17 departments listed
• Note: No claim for regularization of services will be entertained at any stage

Salary

• Honorarium: Rs. 500 per class
• Maximum classes: 50 classes per month
• Maximum monthly payment: Rs. 25,000 per month
• Payment is based on classes actually taken (no fixed monthly salary)
• No additional benefits or allowances

Selection Process

For this continuation Office Order, no fresh selection process is involved - existing 68 named faculties from session 2024-2025 are continuing. For fresh guest faculty positions, the typical process is:

1. Walk-in Interview: As notified separately by the University
2. Document Verification: Original certificates and marksheets
3. Subject Expertise Check: Through interview / demonstration
4. Quarterly Review: Continuation depends on satisfactory performance during the quarterly review
