Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) has opened 1 Research Associate (RA-I) position in the Department of Sports Biosciences, School of Sports Sciences, Yoga & Education. The post is for a project titled "Indigenous Sports Injury Management among the Sahariya Tribe: Documentation, Preservation and Scientific Validation of Ethnomedicinal Knowledge" under Principal Investigator Dr. Neha Singh. This is a temporary, project-based post running up to March 2027, ideal for candidates who want hands-on research experience in sports science and Indian Knowledge Systems.

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• You must have a Master's degree in any relevant discipline, including Sports Science, an allied subject, or an IKS-related field, from a recognised university.
• You need at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade. A 5% relaxation (minimum 50% marks) applies if you are from the SC, ST or Women category.

Desirable Qualification

• A Ph.D. in Sports Science is preferred.
• UGC-NET or GATE qualification as per university norms.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary research areas such as Sports Science, Ethnobotany and Sports Injury.
• Work experience in sports injury management and plant-based field studies.
• Strong academic writing skills, proficiency in digital tools for research and data analysis, and research experience in Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS).

Age Limit

• Upper age limit is 35 years as on the date of the advertisement (22 June 2026).

Salary

• You will get a monthly fellowship of Rs 50,000 plus HRA as per university rules.
• Bachelor's accommodation may be provided in the university, subject to availability and university norms.

Selection Process

Selection is based on:

1. Shortlisting: Applications are screened against the essential and desirable qualifications.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for an interview, with the date and details sent by email.
