Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) is hiring 1 Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and 1 Project Assistant (PA) for a DBT-funded research project in its Department of Biochemistry. Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) has released notification CURAJ/BIOCHEM/SKP/DBT/01 for 1 JRF and 1 PA post under a DBT (Department of Biotechnology, Govt of India) sponsored project titled "Genomics assisted improvement of scented rice from Assam (Joha) and Manipur for yield enhancement under stress and improved nutrition", led by Prof. Sanjib K Panda. This is a purely time-bound, contractual research position with a project tenure of up to 3 years for JRF and 1 year (extendable) for PA. Who Can Apply?

For Junior Research Fellow (JRF) - Rs. 37,000/month:

• Qualification: M.Sc in Biochemistry, Botany or any branch of life science with 55% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognised university.
• Additional Requirement: You must have qualified NET, GATE or another national-level exam conducted by a central agency like CSIR or DBT.

For Project Assistant (PA) - Rs. 20,000/month:

• Qualification: M.Sc in Biochemistry, Botany or any branch of life science with 55% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognised university.

Desirable: Candidates with knowledge and experience in biochemistry, plant molecular biology and plant tissue culture will be preferred. Hostel accommodation may be provided subject to availability.

Age Limit

• Your age should not exceed 28 years for both JRF and PA posts.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST candidates get 5 years relaxation, and OBC candidates get 3 years relaxation. SC/ST/OBC candidates must produce the original caste certificate issued by the competent authority.

Salary

• JRF: Consolidated compensation of Rs. 37,000 per month plus 9% HRA, as per DBT norms.
• PA: Consolidated compensation of Rs. 20,000 per month plus 9% HRA, as per DBT norms.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted for interview based on merit. The project team may apply additional screening criteria if a large number of applications are received.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an offline interview at the Department of Biochemistry, CURAJ. You must bring your original certificates and documents.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Being called for interview does not guarantee selection.
