Central Bank of India's trust body CBI-SUAPS has released notification for 5 Counsellor posts at Financial Literacy Centres (FLC) in Chhattisgarh. If you are a retired bank officer or ex-serviceman with at least 10 years of service and hold a graduation degree, you can apply by post. Central Bank of India Samajik Utthan Avam Prashikshan Sansthan (CBI-SUAPS) is a registered society sponsored by Central Bank of India. It runs RSETI and Financial Literacy Centres across India to train rural youth and spread financial awareness. The Ambikapur Regional Office is now hiring 5 Counsellors on annual contract to run FLCs in five districts of Chhattisgarh. No written exam is needed -- selection is purely through personal interview. This is a good opportunity for retired banking professionals and ex-servicemen who want to stay active and serve their community.

Vacancy Details -- District-wise Posting

One Counsellor will be posted at each of these 5 districts in Chhattisgarh:

  • FLC Balrampur: 1 post
  • FLC Korea: 1 post
  • FLC Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur (MCB): 1 post
  • FLC Surajpur: 1 post
  • FLC Surguja: 1 post

Who Can Apply?

  • Qualification: You must be a Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Desirable Skills: Computer literacy with basic knowledge of MS Office, internet usage, and ability to type in the local language. Excellent communication in the local language is essential.
  • Experience: You need at least 10 years of experience as an officer or permanent employee.
  • Preferred Background: Retired or VRS-opted Bank Officials of Scale I and above from Nationalized Banks (including SBI and RRBs) are given preference.
  • Also Eligible: Ex-Servicemen or Government School Teachers who have banking knowledge, understand financial services, and have completed the relevant IIBF certification course.
  • Service Record: You must have an unblemished service record and a Service Certificate from your previous employer.
  • Domicile: You should be a resident of Chhattisgarh, preferably from the same or a nearby district where the FLC is located.

Age Limit

  • Minimum age: 45 years
  • Maximum age: 65 years
  • You must also be in good health.
  • Age calculated as on 01 January 2026.

Salary

  • Monthly salary: Rs. 25,000 per month (fixed contract pay).
  • Conveyance allowance: Rs. 1,000 per month (includes mobile expenses).
  • No other benefits, charges, or allowances will be paid beyond this amount.
  • If the bank provides a vehicle, no diem allowance or travel reimbursement will be given.
  • You will get 15 days leave per year (maximum 2 days per month).

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written test for this recruitment. Selection will happen in one stage:

  1. Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview. The bank will evaluate your experience, banking knowledge, communication skills, and suitability for the FLC Counsellor role. The bank's decision on selection will be final.

  5. Send the application by Speed Post or Registered Post to: Agriculture & Social Banking Dept., Central Bank of India, Regional Office Ambikapur, Dhanjal Complex near Govt Polytechnic College, Ambikapur, Surguja, Chhattisgarh - 497001.
  6. You can also drop your application in the Letter Box kept at the Central Bank of India Regional Office, Ambikapur.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations and overall functioning of the Financial Literacy Centre (FLC)
  • Conduct financial literacy camps and awareness programs in villages and rural areas of the assigned district
  • Educate rural communities about banking products, government schemes, and financial planning basics
  • Guide people on opening bank accounts, using digital payment methods, and accessing credit facilities
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on FLC activities and submit them to the Regional Office
  • Coordinate with the district administration, local banks, and self-help groups for financial inclusion activities
  • Maintain proper records of all counselling sessions, camps conducted, and beneficiaries covered

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university

Preferred Qualification

Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office, internet, and local language typing. IIBF certification course preferred.

Required Skills

Banking knowledge, financial services knowledge, excellent communication in local language, MS Office, internet usage
