BRIC-inStem Technical and Admin Recruitment 2026: Overview

Post-wise Duties

Senior Technical Officer - Lab Support

You will supervise shared laboratories and scientific infrastructure, coordinate equipment upkeep and help research groups keep common resources ready and safe.

Senior Technical Officer - Scientific Facility Support

You will manage central scientific platforms and biobank operations, coordinate vendors and stakeholders, and track project records and deliverables.

Technical Officer-I - Instrumentation

You will install, operate and troubleshoot scientific instruments and laboratory utility systems, while keeping service histories and coordinating repairs.

Technical Assistant - Instrumentation

You will carry out routine maintenance and calibration, monitor instrument use, manage spares and support institutional events and audio-visual systems.

Technical Assistant - Lab Support

You will prepare laboratory supplies, support cell-culture and common-facility work, keep records and help users follow safety procedures.

Technical Assistant - HVAC

You will monitor HVAC plants, chillers and ventilation systems, maintain shift logs and coordinate preventive maintenance and breakdown work.

Technical Assistant - Civil

You will help prepare estimates and tenders, supervise civil works and building services, check contractor progress and maintain engineering records.

Management Assistant

You will coordinate administrative and financial operations, support senior officers and supervise assigned support staff across the relevant section.

Junior Management Assistant

You will keep records, coordinate with stakeholders and support administration, HR, accounts, stores and hospitality under the section officer.

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Post-wise qualification ranges from graduation or a three-year Engineering Diploma to BE/BTech in a relevant field. Management Assistant accepts a Graduate or PG Diploma in Financial, Materials or Personnel Management.

Preferred Qualification

60% aggregate marks or postgraduate qualification is desirable for Senior Technical Officer posts; 60% aggregate is desirable for Technical Officer and Technical Assistant posts. Four years of relevant administrative experience is preferred for Junior ...

Required Skills

Post-specific laboratory, instrumentation, HVAC, civil or administrative skills. Management Assistant requires Tally ERP or a similar package; Junior Management Assistant requires personal-computer knowledge.

Age Limit

18 - 40 years (as on 25 Sep 2026)

Age Relaxation:

  • SC candidate for post code 03/26: 5 years; 15 years for SC-PwBD
  • OBC(NCL) candidates for post codes 05/26, 10/26 and 13/26: 3 years; 13 years for OBC-PwBD

Pay Scale

7th CPC Pay Matrix: PL-9 for Senior Technical Officer; PL-7 for Technical Officer-I and Management Assistant; PL-6 for Technical Assistant and Junior Management Assistant. Combined range: Rs. 35,400-1,67,800.

Allowances

Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance in lieu of accommodation, Transport Allowance, Children Education Allowance, Leave Travel Concession and medical facilities as applicable. National Pension System coverage applies.
