AIIMS Sr. Administrative Assistant Recruitment 2026

AIIMS New Delhi is filling 13 Senior Administrative Assistant (erstwhile UDC) posts in Pay Matrix Level-4 through a Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE). This is not an open recruitment — only existing AIIMS Junior Administrative Assistants (erstwhile LDC) with at least 2 years of regular service in the grade can apply. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has issued Circular No. 2-18/2024 Estt(RCT)(pt.) dated 04 May 2026 inviting applications for filling up 13 vacant posts of Senior Administrative Assistant in Level-4 of the Pay Matrix under the 25% Limited Departmental Competitive Examination quota. This is an internal promotion exam — only eligible departmental Junior Administrative Assistants who meet the service criteria can apply through proper channel. The merit list drawn from this exam is valid only for this occasion.

Who Can Apply?

• Eligibility: You must be a serving Junior Administrative Assistant (erstwhile LDC) at AIIMS New Delhi.
• Service: You must have completed 2 years of regular service in the Junior Administrative Assistant grade as on the cut-off date.
• Cut-off Date: The last date for submission of application form (21 May 2026) will be the cut-off date for determining eligibility.
• Application Channel: Applications must be routed through the respective Establishment Section. The Section will forward only those applications that fulfil the eligibility conditions.

Salary

• The post carries pay in Pay Matrix Level-4 (Pre-revised PB-1: Rs. 5,200-20,200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2,400)
• You will also get DA, HRA, TA and other allowances admissible to AIIMS Central Government employees.

Selection Process

Selection is through:

1. Scrutiny of Applications: The Establishment Section will forward eligible applications, and the Recruitment Cell will check service criteria.
2. Written Examination: Eligible candidates will appear for a written exam conducted by AIIMS New Delhi.
3. Merit List: A merit list will be drawn based on written exam performance. The merit list is valid only for the current vacancies — separate exams will be held for vacancies in subsequent years.

How to Apply

1. Get the application form (enclosed format) from your Establishment Section or the AIIMS website at aiims.edu.
2. Fill in the application form with your service details, qualifications and category (UR/SC/ST/OBC).
3. Attach a recent passport-size photograph duly attested.
4. Get the form signed by the Head/In-charge of your Department and the certifying officer of your Establishment Section.
5. Submit through proper channel via your Establishment Section so that it reaches the undersigned (Administrative Officer) by 21 May 2026.

Applications received after the deadline, incomplete applications, or those not received through proper channel will not be entertained.

• Handle administrative correspondence, file processing and office record maintenance at AIIMS

• Operate office computer systems for data entry, filing and document preparation
• Coordinate with other departments and sections for routine administrative work
• Maintain confidentiality of official documents and follow AIIMS rules and procedures
