WCD Odisha Anganwadi Worker Recruitment 2026 - 4 Posts

The Women and Child Development Department, Government of Odisha (WCD Odisha) has invited online applications for the engagement of 4 Anganwadi Workers at Anganwadi Centres across the state under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) scheme. Only women candidates can apply, and they must be residents of the area where the Anganwadi Centre is located. This is a great opportunity for local women who want to serve their community.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have passed 10+2 (Class 12) from a recognised Board.
• Gender: Only women candidates are eligible to apply.
• Domicile: You must be a permanent resident of the area where the Anganwadi Centre is located.
• Local Language: You should be able to read, write and speak Odia.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 35 years (as on 1 January 2026)
• Age relaxation will be given to reserved categories as per Government of Odisha rules.

Salary

• You will get a monthly honorarium fixed by the Government of Odisha for Anganwadi Workers (typically Rs. 7,500 per month, subject to revision).
• You may also get performance-linked incentives and other benefits as per ICDS scheme rules.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is purely merit-based on academic marks. The steps are:

1. Online Application: Submit your application with all required details on the WCD Odisha engagement portal.
2. Merit List Preparation: A merit list is prepared based on your 10th and 12th marks (and higher qualification marks if any) as per the weightage fixed by the department.
3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates are called for document verification.
4. Final Engagement: The selected candidate is engaged at the Anganwadi Centre after verification.

4. Fill in your personal, educational and contact details in the online application form.

6. Submit the form and take a printout for your records.
7. Submit it before 27 May 2026.

• Run the Anganwadi Centre and provide pre-school education to children aged 3 to 6 years

• Keep records of births, deaths and beneficiaries in the Anganwadi area

• Coordinate with the Supervisor, CDPO and other ICDS officials for smooth operations
• Maintain the Anganwadi Centre register, stock register and other documents as per ICDS guidelines
