The Himachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority, Shimla has released Advertisement Notice No. 112/LSA/Estt./Part-XVI/2025 for engagement of 11 Driver-cum-Office Assistants out of the NALSA Grant. The selected drivers will operate Multi-Utility Vehicles (Scorpio N Z8S) in the 11 District Legal Services Authorities across the state. You will also perform ministerial and Class-IV duties apart from driving — this is not a driver-only role.

• Driver-cum-Office Assistant: 11 posts (one for each District Legal Services Authority in Himachal Pradesh)

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must be a Graduate from a recognised University
• Driving Licence: You must hold a valid Driving Licence for Light Motor Vehicles (LMV)
• Driving Experience: Minimum 3 years of driving experience
• Nationality: You must be an Indian National
• Preference: Candidates with good mechanical knowledge of automobiles will be preferred

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 45 years old as on 01 January 2026

Salary

• Fixed remuneration of Rs. 20,000 per month per driver
• The pay is drawn out of the NALSA Grant
• You will not get HRA, transport allowance, telephone reimbursement or any other separate allowance

• Unreserved (UR): Rs. 450
• Reserved Categories of H.P. (SC / ST / OBC / EWS): Rs. 300
• Payment mode: Online only
• Fee once paid is non-refundable.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 3 stages:

1. Screening Test: Written test to shortlist candidates
2. Proficiency (Driving) Test: Only candidates who qualify the screening test will be called for the driving test
3. Document Verification: Originals are verified at this stage

The Authority reserves the right to conduct the Screening Test and Driving Test at Shimla, depending on the number of candidates.

4. Upload your photograph (20-50 KB JPG/JPEG/PNG), signature (10-20 KB), matric certificate as age proof (100-500 KB), and other documents (100 KB to 2 MB PDF)
5. Pay the application fee online
6. Submit the form and take a printout for your record

Applications received through any other mode will be rejected. Once submitted, the application cannot be withdrawn or modified.

• Drive the Multi-Utility Vehicle (Scorpio N Z8S) assigned to the District Legal Services Authority
• Maintain the vehicle, monitor fuel consumption and report any mechanical issues
• Carry out routine cleaning, basic servicing and pre-trip checks of the vehicle
• Handle ministerial and Class-IV office duties as assigned by the DLSA Secretary
• Assist in file movement, document delivery and office support work
• Perform duties beyond office hours, on holidays or for outstation travel when required
• Maintain a daily log of vehicle movement, kilometres and trips
• Follow all traffic rules and safety guidelines while on duty
