The Office of the Principal, Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh, under the Government of Assam, has invited applications for 1 Project Research Scientist-I (Medical) post on a contractual basis. This is for the ICMR-funded project titled "ANANT MUSKAAN: A Multi-site Implementation Research on Primary School-based tooth brushing and oral health education in India" running under the Government Dental College, AMC, Dibrugarh. Selection is through walk-in interview only — no written exam.

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• BDS or MBBS with MDS, OR BDS or MBBS with MPH, from a recognised institute
• Minimum 3 years' experience from a recognised institute
• Experience must be in a relevant field, gained after the minimum essential qualification

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience in Project Management
• Skills in data management, analysis, and reporting
• Proficiency in designing and conducting epidemiological and intervention studies
• Proficiency in English (oral and writing)

Other Conditions

• Open to Indian citizens
• Persons already in regular time-scale service under any Government Department or Organisation are not eligible
• Reserved category candidates must produce caste validity / non-creamy layer / disability certificates as applicable

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years (as on the last date of submission of applications — i.e., walk-in date)
• Age Relaxation: As per ICMR guidelines for reserved categories

Salary

• Basic: Rs. 67,000 per month
• HRA (10%): Rs. 6,700 per month
• Total consolidated emoluments: Rs. 73,700 per month
• Rates are project specific and may vary as per sanction of the funding agency.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is through walk-in interview only:

1. Document Verification: All original certificates will be verified at the venue before the interview starts.
2. Walk-in Interview: Conducted by the selection committee at Government Dental College, Dibrugarh.

Mere fulfilling the essential qualification does not guarantee selection. ICMR reserves the right to consider or reject any candidature.

• Lead and manage the ICMR ANANT MUSKAAN project on primary school-based oral health education
• Design and conduct epidemiological studies and school-based intervention research
• Handle data management, statistical analysis, and reporting of study findings
• Prepare manuscripts, reports, and presentations for ICMR and partner institutions
• Coordinate with multi-site project teams across India
• Monitor field activities at primary schools and supervise data collection
• Ensure ethical compliance and adherence to ICMR research guidelines
• Mentor junior project staff and assist Principal Investigator with project deliverables
