UPMSCL, headquartered in Lucknow, is a Government of Uttar Pradesh undertaking registered under the Companies Act 2013 with a seed capital of Rs. 20 Crores from the state exchequer. It acts as the nodal agency for centralized procurement and distribution of drugs and medical equipment to government health facilities across the state, ensuring quality control and availability at district drug warehouses. UPMSCL has released a notification to fill 1 Bio Medical Engineer (Quality Control) post on deputation or contractual basis. Regular government employees are encouraged to apply on deputation, while open-market candidates without a government post can join on a contractual basis, initially for three years, extendable based on performance and subject to further approval by UPMSCL. If selected, you will play a key role in ensuring the medical equipment supplied to health facilities across Uttar Pradesh meets the required quality standards.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a full-time Bio Medical Engineer degree (B.E./B.Tech) from a UGC-recognized Indian University.
• Preferred: A Certificate or Diploma in Quality Control/Management is desirable and will strengthen your application.
• Experience: You must have a minimum of 3 years of work experience in the field of Bio Medical Engineering Quality Control.
• Deputation Route: Regular government employees can apply on deputation, in accordance with Government of Uttar Pradesh service norms.
• Contractual Route: Candidates from the open market, without a government post, can apply for the contractual option instead.

Age Limit

• You should be up to 45 years old, as on the closing date for submission of applications.
• Age Relaxation: Provided as per the State Reservation Policy of Uttar Pradesh.
• The closing date for receipt of applications is used as the cut-off for determining your age, qualification and experience.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a fixed monthly honorarium of Rs. 47,600 to Rs. 50,000 under Pay Matrix Level-8 (for deputation).
• Contractual candidates are eligible for a 3% annual increment up to the maximum limit of the pay slab.
• If a selected contractual candidate's last drawn salary is higher than the entry level of this pay structure, the offer may be increased by giving a 3% hike over the last drawn salary, subject to the maximum limit.
• The appointment is initially for three years, extendable based on performance.

Selection Process

Selection is carried out in the following stages:

1. Preliminary Evaluation: If more than 10 eligible candidates apply, a merit list is prepared using marks for Essential Qualification (5 marks), Desirable Qualification (5 marks) and Working Experience (10 marks).
2. Shortlisting: A maximum of 10 candidates are shortlisted for the final interview based on this merit list.
3. Personal Interview: Final selection is based on a personal interview. Candidates applying on deputation get preference in the selection based on this interview.

No TA/DA or any reimbursement towards travel, boarding or lodging expenses is admissible for attending the interview. UPMSCL reserves the right to cancel any or all positions at any stage of the recruitment process.
