UIDAI Section Officer Recruitment 2026 — 2 Posts
UIDAI, established under the Aadhaar Act 2016, is responsible for issuing Aadhaar numbers and managing the world's largest biometric ID system. The authority has invited applications from eligible officers in Central Government, State Government, Public Sector Undertakings, and Autonomous Organisations for 2 Section Officer vacancies at its Technology Centre in Bengaluru. You must meet any one of these conditions:
- Central Government officers holding analogous posts (Section Officer level) on regular basis in the parent cadre or department
- Officers with 3 years of regular service in Pay Matrix Level 7 (Rs. 44,900 - Rs. 1,42,400) of the 7th CPC
- Officers with 5 years of regular service in Pay Matrix Level 6 (Rs. 35,400 - Rs. 1,12,400) of the 7th CPC
- State Government / PSU / Autonomous Organisation officers holding regular posts in corresponding grades with the required experience
Important conditions:
- You must have completed at least 5 years of government service
- You need a minimum residual service of 3 years as on the closing date
- Private candidates are not eligible — this vacancy is only for serving government/PSU officers on deputation
Desirable Qualification
- Experience in Administration, Legal, Establishment, Human Resource, Finance, Accounts, Budgeting, Vigilance, Procurement, Planning, Policy/Project implementation, or E-Governance
- Basic computer skills for working in a computerised office environment

- Maximum age: 56 years as on the closing date of application
- Age is calculated as on 12 January 2026 (the original closing date used as eligibility reference date)
Salary
- Pay Matrix Level 8 under the 7th Central Pay Commission
- Basic Pay: Rs. 47,600 to Rs. 1,51,100 per month
- Dearness Allowance (DA): 58% of basic pay (current rate)
- House Rent Allowance (HRA): 10% to 30% of basic pay depending on city classification
- Transport Allowance: Rs. 3,600 (higher TPTA cities) or Rs. 1,800 (other cities) plus DA on TA
- During deputation, your recruitment, salary, allowances, joining time, medical benefits, and travelling allowance will follow UIDAI regulations
- Leave will be governed by the Central Civil Services (Leave) Rules, 1972
- Aadhaar Housing Complex at DDU Marg, New Delhi may be available for residential accommodation
- You can continue your CGHS medical facility from your parent organisation, or use UIDAI's Medical Reimbursement Scheme

Responsibilities
- Handle administrative work related to UIDAI's Technology Centre operations in Bengaluru
- Manage files, correspondence, and office procedures in line with government rules and UIDAI regulations
- Assist in policy planning, project implementation, and monitoring of Aadhaar-related technology initiatives
- Prepare notes, reports, and summaries for senior officers on matters related to the section
- Monitor compliance with government orders, circulars, and UIDAI internal guidelines
- Work on tasks related to Administration, HR, Finance, Accounts, Budgeting, Vigilance, or Procurement as assigned
- Keep records up to date and ensure timely disposal of pending files and references
