Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Punjab (a unit of Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India) has issued advertisement number TMC/HBCHRC/M/ACA/RECT/11/26 for the post of Senior Resident in the Preventive Oncology department. This is a walk-in interview — no online application is needed. Who Can Apply?

Age Limit
- Maximum age: 45 years (reckoned as on the date of walk-in interview).
- Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PwD (with additional 5 years for SC/ST PwD and 3 years for OBC PwD).
- Ex-servicemen: length of service in Armed Forces plus 3 years.
- TMC employees: Up to 5 years additional relaxation for existing TMC staff working on temporary/project/contract basis.
Salary
- Monthly salary: Rs. 1,27,260 to Rs. 1,38,600 per month.
- The exact salary depends on your relevant work experience acquired after completing the essential qualification.
- Sharing accommodation may be provided subject to availability, on a chargeable basis.

Responsibilities
- Handle clinical duties in the Preventive Oncology unit at HBCH & RC, New Chandigarh
- Run cancer screening clinics for breast, cervical and oral cancers
- Assist in community-based cancer prevention and awareness programmes
- Conduct counselling on tobacco cessation and lifestyle modification for high-risk patients
- Maintain clinical records and follow-up data for screening and prevention activities
- Support research projects in cancer epidemiology and prevention
- Work in shifts including weekend OPDs as per departmental schedule
- Rotate across other TMC units when required by the management
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
MD in Community Medicine / Preventive & Social Medicine / Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Preferred Qualification
Relevant work experience in Preventive Oncology after MD qualification
Required Skills
Clinical knowledge of cancer screening and prevention, community medicine practice, patient counselling, basic research methodology
