Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) Clinical Specialist Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (HBCH&RC), Punjab — a unit of the Tata Memorial Centre under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India — has released a walk-in interview notice for 1 Clinical Specialist post under its Brain Lab (neuro-navigation) unit. There is no written exam for this role — you simply need to show up at the venue with your documents on the scheduled date. This is a good opportunity for engineering graduates or diploma holders who already have hands-on experience with intra-operative imaging equipment and want to work at one of India's leading cancer treatment centres.

Tata Memorial Centre, headquartered in Mumbai, is India's premier cancer treatment, research, and education institution under the Department of Atomic Energy. Over the last decade it has expanded into a national network of Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospitals — including units in Sangrur, Varanasi, Visakhapatnam, and Muzaffarpur — to bring specialised cancer care closer to patients outside major metros. The HBCH&RC Punjab unit at New Chandigarh is part of this expansion, and its Brain Lab handles advanced neuro-oncology and brain-surgery support work.

This position is a project post for twelve months, which may be extended by a further six months based on your performance, or until the project is completed, whichever happens first. Note: the position may be rotated between HBCH Sangrur and HBCH&RC New Chandigarh, Punjab, depending on where the centre needs you, and accommodation will be provided subject to availability.

Who Can Apply?

  • Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or an equivalent qualification) OR a Diploma in a relevant subject.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on experience handling intra-operative imaging and navigation systems (Brain Lab / neuro-navigation equipment).
  • Desirable: Prior working experience inside an Operation Theatre (OT) environment is preferred, though not compulsory.
  • The role calls for someone comfortable working alongside surgeons and OT staff, so candidates with a clinical engineering or biomedical background will find this role a natural fit.

Age Limit

  • You should be up to 35 years old to apply for this post.

Salary

  • Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 33,000 per month, depending on your qualification and experience.
  • This is a consolidated monthly pay for the project post; the notice does not mention any separate allowances.
