NMICPS TiHAN Foundation at IIT Hyderabad (TiHAN-IITH) is looking for a Post-Doctoral Fellow to build applied research in autonomous systems and cyber-physical technologies. You will work with research teams, sponsored agencies and technical facilities on the IIT Hyderabad campus. IP, usable technology and new approaches to industry problems are among the expected outcomes, alongside knowledge that can support cyber-physical-system applications and start-ups.

Posts and Disciplines

• Embedded Systems: hardware-software platforms, AUTOSAR, server or edge infrastructure, and integrated systems used in autonomous applications.
• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: deep learning, intelligent perception and data-led methods for autonomous mobility and cyber-physical systems.
• Drone and UAV Systems: aerial or ground autonomous platforms, robotics, modelling and experimental work around unmanned systems.
• Communication and Networking: wireless networking, signal processing, connected vehicles, cybersecurity and next-generation connectivity for autonomous platforms.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The initial appointment is for one year. An extension depends on your performance.
• On-site work: This is a campus-based position at IIT Hyderabad rather than a remote fellowship.
• Accommodation: TiHAN Foundation and IIT Hyderabad will not provide residential accommodation, so you need to make your own arrangement.
• Research quality: The foundation expects a sound academic record and strong writing. Publication in predatory journals is not accepted as a suitable research record.
• Thesis status: Researchers who have submitted their doctoral thesis and are waiting for the defence can also be considered.
• Performance focus: Your work is expected to generate IP, research-led technology, practical solutions or new cyber-physical-system applications rather than end only as an internal study.
• Facilities and coordination: The work may combine experimental and computational facilities, literature review, lab organisation and communication with project sponsors.
• Interview communication: Only shortlisted people will receive an interview intimation by email from the selection committee.
• Unfilled position: If the committee does not find a suitable person, TiHAN may keep the role vacant and issue a fresh notice with an extended window.
