The Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) has invited applications for one position of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in the Department of Biological Sciences, Mumbai. The post is on an ANRF-funded project titled "Investigating the mechanism of co-translational protein folding and its implications in cellular physiology" under the guidance of Prof. Debasis Das. This is a great chance for science graduates who want to do high-quality research in molecular and cellular biology at one of India's top research institutes.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification (Essential): M.Sc or Ph.D in Biological Science, Chemical Science, or Engineering.
• Experience: You must have substantial research experience of at least one year in Biological Science, Chemical Science, or Engineering.
• Preferred: Knowledge of performing in silico (computational) studies will be an advantage.

Age Limit

• You should preferably be below 45 years of age.

Salary

• You will get a fellowship of Rs. 42,000 or more per month.
• You will also get House Rent Allowance (HRA) of 30% on top of the fellowship.

Selection Process

Selection is based on your qualifications, research experience, and an assessment of your profile by TIFR:

1. Screening of Applications: Your CV, educational qualifications, and research experience will be reviewed.
2. Selection/Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be assessed by the selection committee for the project.

The appointment is temporary and non-pensionable. It is initially for one year and is extendable up to a maximum of four years based on your performance.
