BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (BRIC-THSTI) is an institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, based at the NCR Biotech Science Cluster in Faridabad. It runs research centres in areas such as maternal and child health, virus research and drug discovery. It has released recruitment notice THS/RN/11/2026 dated 23 June 2026. This listing is for the Project Research Scientist-II (Medical) post under Dr. Nitya Wadhwa's project, Effects of extreme heat on maternal, placental and fetal physiology, lactation and newborn health in India. The day-to-day work is based at the clinical site in Gurugram Civil Hospital for the Heat in Pregnancy program. Who Can Apply?

You can apply if you meet any one of the following qualifications:

• Option 1: MBBS / B.V.Sc. / BDS from a recognised university with 3 years of post-qualification experience in clinical research.
• Option 2: M.D. / M.V.Sc. / MDS / MPH with a basic degree of MBBS / B.V.Sc. / BDS from a recognised university.

Desirable (preferred, not mandatory):

• Experience in supervising a small team.
• Experience in data cleaning or central data monitoring, with working knowledge of R and Python.
• Good knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and recent guidelines for clinical research.
• Good command of Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel.

All degrees must be from a recognised Board or University. Women candidates are encouraged to apply.

Age Limit

• The upper age limit is 40 years as on the date of the walk-in interview (6 July 2026).
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and up to 5 years for Central Government servants.
• PwBD: 10 years for UR, 13 years for OBC and 15 years for SC/ST candidates with benchmark disabilities.
• Ex-servicemen: Relaxation as per Government of India rules.

Salary

• The selected candidate will get a consolidated pay of Rs. 80,000 per month plus HRA (House Rent Allowance).
• This is a project-based (contract) position, and the pay stays fixed for the tenure of the project.
• These are short-term posts that run for the duration of the project. They do not give any right to permanent employment or regularization, and extension depends on your performance and the life of the project.

Selection Process

The selection is done through a walk-in interview:

1. Walk-in Interview: You need to appear in person at THSTI, Faridabad on the interview date. The panel may hold a written test, skill test or interview to assess you.
2. Screening: If a large number of candidates turn up, THSTI may shortlist you based on higher or more relevant qualification and experience.

The date of the interview is the crucial date for deciding your eligibility for age, experience and qualification. The number of posts may change based on the actual requirement at the time of the interview.

• Manage the day-to-day running of the clinical site at Gurugram Civil Hospital for the Heat in Pregnancy program
• Work with site investigators and the clinical coordinator to keep the study on track and meeting its targets
• Facilitate recruitment, enrollment and follow-up of study participants
• Act as the point of contact for external and internal agencies, including ethics committees and civil departments
• Monitor study progress and make sure the team follows the project plan and protocol
• Maintain all study files and documentation at clinical and referral sites
• Coordinate patient referrals and ambulance movement between hospitals
