BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) Project Technical Support-III Recruitment 2026

The Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) is an institute of the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council (BRIC), under the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. Under Recruitment Notice THS/RN/11/2026, THSTI is filling one Project Technical Support-III post on a purely temporary, project basis.

THSTI is located in the National Capital Region (NCR) Biotech Science Cluster in Faridabad and runs research centres such as the Centre for Virus Research, Therapeutics and Vaccines and the Centre for Immunobiology and Immunotherapy. These are supported by core facilities like a Bioassay Laboratory, a Biorepository, a Biosafety Level-3 lab and a Multi-Omics facility, giving lab staff wide exposure to modern research tools.

The selected candidate will work with Co-Principal Investigator Dr. Tanvi Agrawal on a project titled "Identification of immunological and virological determinants associated with progression to chronic arthritis in chikungunya virus-infected patients". In plain words, the study looks at why some chikungunya patients develop long-term joint problems. This role suits Life Sciences graduates and post-graduates who enjoy hands-on virology and molecular biology lab work. Since the post is filled through a walk-in interview, selection is quick and there is no long online process.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification (Option 1): Graduate degree in any branch of Life Sciences from a recognised university with three (3) years of experience in a research laboratory.
• Qualification (Option 2): Post-Graduate degree in any branch of Life Sciences from a recognised university.
• Desirable: Experience with mammalian cell culture and molecular biology assays.
• Basic knowledge of biochemistry and molecular biology, with the ability to analyse and interpret data.

Age Limit

• The upper age limit is 35 years.
• Age relaxation for SC / ST / OBC / PwBD and other reserved categories will apply as per Government of India rules.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated pay of Rs. 28,000 per month plus HRA.
• House Rent Allowance and other project benefits are paid as per THSTI and Government of India rules for project staff.
• This is a project-linked position, so the engagement is co-terminus with the project.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam. The selection is done directly through a walk-in interview.

2. Walk-in Interview: A selection committee will assess your subject knowledge, laboratory skills and research experience.
