BRIC-THSTI Lab Technician and Scientist Recruitment 2026 - 2 Posts

BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI), under the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council, Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, has released Recruitment Notice No. THS/RN/08/2026 dated 25 May 2026. The posts are short-term project positions connected to health research projects on rapid antigen testing for dengue, zika and chikungunya, and a clinical trial on screening and prevention of placental disorders. Who Can Apply?

Lab Technician

• Qualification: You need B.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences from a recognised university, OR a 3-year Diploma in Engineering and Technology.
• Useful lab skills: experience in preparing culture media, buffers, agarose gel, PAGE, inventory work, bacterial work, and mammalian work will help for this role.
• Project: Multiplexed Rapid Antigen test for dominant arbovirus such as Dengue, Zika and Chikungunya Virus.

Project Research Scientist-I (Senior Clinical Research Associate)

• Qualification: You need a Post Graduate Degree, including integrated PG degree, in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Public Health, or any related discipline from a recognised university.
• Desirable: valid Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certificate.
• Experience: minimum 2 years as a Clinical Research Associate, Clinical Research Coordinator, or Site Manager in academic or phase clinical trials is desirable.
• Skills: clinical study monitoring, quality oversight, site communication, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, technical writing, and knowledge of Indian clinical trial regulations, ICH and CDSCO GCP.

Age Limit

• Lab Technician: up to 50 years.
• Project Research Scientist-I: up to 35 years.
• Age reference date: the walk-in interview date for the respective post is the crucial date for age, qualification and experience.
• Age relaxation: SC/ST - 5 years, OBC - 3 years, PwBD - 10/13/15 years for UR/OBC/SC-ST, Central Government servants - 5 years, institute employees as per service rendered, and ex-servicemen as per rules.

Salary

• Lab Technician: Rs. 20,000 per month plus HRA.
• Project Research Scientist-I: Rs. 56,000 per month plus HRA.
• These are short-term project positions. Extension depends on satisfactory performance and project tenure.

Selection Process

The notification allows THSTI to conduct a written test, skill test and/or interview on the walk-in date. Final shortlisting may also depend on relevant qualification and experience if many candidates attend.

1. Walk-In Registration: report at THSTI Faridabad by 9:00 AM on the date for your post.
2. Written Test / Skill Test: THSTI may conduct a written or skill test as part of the selection process.
3. Interview: shortlisted candidates will attend interview for the project post.
4. Document Verification: original certificates, photocopies, resume and valid ID will be checked before or during selection.

• Prepare laboratory media, buffers, gels and other routine research materials for the assigned project
• Maintain laboratory inventory and support bacterial or mammalian work as required
• Monitor clinical study sites, data quality, documentation and site performance for assigned trials
• Conduct site qualification, initiation, routine monitoring and close-out visits when assigned
• Follow GCP, SOPs, protocol requirements and Indian clinical trial regulations
• Prepare monitoring reports, technical notes, study documents and training material
• Coordinate with investigators, data management teams and internal project teams
• Manage timelines, milestones, quality checks and corrective actions for study activities
