The Society for Centralized Recruitment of Staff in Subordinate Courts (SSSC), working under the High Court of Punjab and Haryana on behalf of the District and Sessions Judges of Haryana, has released Detailed Employment Notice No. 36C/SSSC/HR/2026 for filling 1265 Clerk posts by direct recruitment. Who Can Apply?
- Qualification: You must have a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree (or equivalent) from a recognised university, with proficiency in computers (Word Processing and Spread Sheets).
- Language: You must have passed Matriculation with Hindi or Sanskrit as one subject, or done +2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one subject.
- Domicile: Reservation benefits apply only to bona fide residents of Haryana with valid certificates. Reserved category applicants from other states must apply under the General category.
- You must fulfil the qualification on the last date of application, i.e. 23 June 2026.
Age Limit
- You should be between 18 and 42 years old as on 01 January 2026 (General category).
- SC / BC of Haryana: 5 years' relaxation (up to 47 years).
- In-service Haryana Government employees: up to 45 years.
- PwBD: 10 years' relaxation (subject to maximum 52 years).
- Women (unmarried/widowed/divorced and others as specified): 5 years' relaxation (up to 47 years).
- Ex-servicemen: age relaxation as per Haryana Government rules.
- Except for ex-servicemen, the upper age limit shall not exceed 52 years even after relaxation.
Application Fee
- SC (DSC/OSC) / BC-A / BC-B / ESM / EWS of Haryana: Rs. 710 (Rs. 550 facilitation + Rs. 160 exam fee)
- All other categories (Male): Rs. 1,200 (Rs. 550 facilitation + Rs. 650 exam fee)
- All other categories (Female): Rs. 875 (Rs. 550 facilitation + Rs. 325 exam fee)
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities of Haryana: No fee (NIL)
- Payment mode: Online only (non-refundable)
Selection Process
Selection is done in the following stages:
- Online Written Exam (Computer Based Test): 100 marks in 2 hours, covering General Knowledge and English Composition. There is negative marking of 1/4 mark for each wrong answer in the objective part.
- Computer Proficiency Test (CPT): A qualifying test of two parts — Part-I Spread Sheet Test (10 marks, 10 minutes, pass at 40%) and Part-II English Typing Test at 30 WPM. CPT marks do not count towards the final merit.
- Checking of Original Testimonials / Interaction: For candidates who qualify both the written exam and CPT.
The final Select List is prepared strictly on merit in the written exam (CBT).

- Prepare letters, notices, orders and official court documents
- Enter and manage case data in court software systems
- Assist judicial officers and senior staff with daily administrative work
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence of the court
- Maintain case files and ensure proper documentation
- Type subjective matter and reports using word processing and spreadsheets
