The Andhra Pradesh Higher Education Department, through the AP Centre for Financial Systems and Services (APCFSS), has opened a big faculty recruitment drive for 1,523 teaching posts spread across 19 universities like Andhra University, Sri Venkateswara University, JNTU Kakinada, Acharya Nagarjuna University and more. This drive covers 1,244 regular posts and 279 backlog posts. This is one of the largest university faculty drives in the state in recent years — a great chance for NET/Ph.D holders to land a permanent government teaching job.

Vacancy Breakdown

The 1,523 posts are spread across four levels of teaching roles in 19 universities:

• Professor — highest academic post (Academic Level 14)
• Associate Professor — senior teaching post (Academic Level 13A)
• Assistant Professor — entry-level teaching post and the largest share of vacancies (Academic Level 10)
• Lecturer / Assistant Librarian — supporting academic posts

Who Can Apply?

For Assistant Professor

• You need a Master's degree with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) in the relevant subject from a recognised university.
• You must have cleared UGC-NET / CSIR-NET / APSET / APSLET, OR hold a Ph.D as per UGC regulations.

For Associate Professor and Professor

• You need a Ph.D in the relevant subject plus the required years of teaching/research experience and research publications as per UGC norms.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 44 years (as on the date fixed in the notification).
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC / ST / BC / EWS candidates and up to 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (PwBD), as per Andhra Pradesh government rules.

Salary

• Assistant Professor: Rs. 57,700 per month (Academic Level 10 entry pay).
• Associate Professor: Rs. 1,31,400 per month (Academic Level 13A entry pay).
• Professor: up to Rs. 2,18,200 per month (Academic Level 14).
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Andhra Pradesh government and UGC rules.

Selection Process

The selection is done in these stages:

1. Eligibility Screening: Your application and documents are checked against the qualification rules.
2. Computer-Based Test (CBT): For Assistant Professor posts, a written CBT is held to shortlist candidates.
3. Academic Score Evaluation: Marks are given for your academic record, research and experience as per UGC norms.
4. Interview: Shortlisted candidates face an interview before the final merit list.
