University of Lucknow is hiring 1 Project Fellow in the Department of Botany. University of Lucknow Project Fellow Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

University of Lucknow has released a notice for one Project Fellow post (on contract) in the Department of Botany. The work is for a research project titled "Integrated Use of Selenium Nanoparticles and Organic Amendments to Mitigate Heavy Metal Stress in Crops", funded by the Centre of Excellence (CoE) scheme, Higher Education Department, Uttar Pradesh. There is no written exam — you apply by sending your bio-data to the Principal Investigator. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a B.Sc. in Botany, Environmental Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry or an allied branch of Life Sciences (or equivalent) with at least 55% marks. SC/ST candidates need 50% marks.
• Domicile: You must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh and an Indian citizen.
• Preferred: Candidates with NET/GATE and experience in the relevant field will be given preference.

Salary

• Fellowship of Rs. 20,000 per month initially for 1 year.
• The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project, governed by CoE, Higher Education Department, U.P. guidelines and University of Lucknow service conditions.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is done on the basis of your application and documents:

1. Bio-data Screening: You send your bio-data with self-attested copies of supporting documents to the Principal Investigator by email.
2. Verification of Originals: You need to bring the original copies of your academic documents. No TA/DA will be paid.
