Who Can Apply?

For TGT Maths and TGT Science

  • Qualification: Four-year integrated degree with B.Ed component and at least 50% marks, or Bachelor's/Honours degree with at least 50% plus B.Ed/B.Ed-M.Ed/Special B.Ed as notified.
  • CTET: You must have qualified CTET Paper-II conducted by Government of India.
  • Teaching language: You need ability to teach in English and Hindi.
  • Subject condition: TGT Maths needs Maths with Physics and one of Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science or Statistics. TGT Science needs Biology/Life Science/Botany/Zoology with the notified science combinations.

For TGT Work Experience Teacher

  • Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering with at least 50% marks.
  • B.Ed and computer knowledge: B.Ed with at least 50% marks and knowledge of computers are required.
  • Desirable: One year practical experience in a recognised workshop, institution or factory.

For TGT Telugu and Primary Teacher

  • TGT Telugu: Telugu as main subject/optional/BOL or PG in Telugu, plus B.Ed with Telugu methodology or Telugu Pandit Training and State TET/CTET Paper-II.
  • Primary Teacher: Senior Secondary/Class XII with at least 50% and 2-year D.El.Ed, 4-year B.El.Ed or 2-year special education diploma as notified.
  • Primary CTET: You must have qualified CTET Paper-I.
  • Hindi: Working knowledge of Hindi is required.

Age Limit

  • TGT posts: 18 to 35 years as on 7 July 2026.
  • Primary Teacher: 18 to 30 years as on 7 July 2026.
  • SC/ST relaxation: 5 years for reserved posts.
  • OBC relaxation: 3 years for reserved posts.
  • Women candidates: 10 years relaxation for all categories, subject to notice conditions.
  • PwBD: 10 years for General/EWS, 13 years for OBC and 15 years for ST where applicable.

Salary

  • Trained Graduate Teacher: Pay Level 7, Rs. 44,900 to Rs. 1,42,400 per month.
  • Primary Teacher: Pay Level 6, Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month.
  • Selected candidates also get ISRO benefits such as medical facility, canteen, library, transport in lieu of transport allowance, housing in lieu of HRA, LTC and group insurance as per rules.

Application Fee

  • Total amount payable at application: Rs. 750 for each application.
  • Application fee: Rs. 250.
  • Processing fee: Rs. 500.
  • Refund after written test: Rs. 750 for Women/SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen who attend the written test.
  • Refund for other candidates: Rs. 500 after deducting the application fee, if they attend the written test.
  • Payment mode: Online only.

Selection Process

The selection has Written Test and Skill Test. The Skill Test is qualifying in nature, and final selection is based on written-test marks among candidates who qualify the Skill Test.

  1. Computer Based Written Test: Tests subject knowledge, teaching awareness, language, reasoning, general awareness and computer literacy.
  2. Shortlisting for Skill Test: Candidates are generally shortlisted in 1:5 ratio, with minimum 10 candidates category-wise where applicable.
  3. Skill Test: Chalk-and-board based teaching demonstration for 100 marks. Minimum qualifying mark is 60%.
  4. Final Merit: Prepared using written-test marks. Tie-breakers include academic scores and then age, if needed.
  5. Document Verification: Uploaded documents and original documents will be checked during the Skill Test stage.

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Post-wise qualification: TGT posts require relevant Bachelor's/Honours/integrated degree with B.Ed or equivalent and CTET/State TET as applicable; Primary Teacher requires Senior Secondary/Class XII with elementary education diploma/B.El.Ed/special edu...

Preferred Qualification

Teaching experience in a school and knowledge of computer applications are desirable for several posts. TGT WET additionally prefers one year practical experience in a recognised workshop, institution or factory.
