State Bank of India (SBI) has released Advertisement No. CRPD/SCO/2026-27/03 for Bank Medical Officer (BMO-II) posts in Middle Management Grade Scale-II. This is a regular Specialist Cadre Officer recruitment for doctors who can serve SBI circles across India. The selection includes an online written test, interview and local language proficiency test, so you should check the circle language before applying.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need MBBS from a recognised university or college approved by NMC or State Medical Council.
• Preferred: Post Graduate Diploma or Post Graduate Degree such as MD/MS or equivalent.
• Experience for MBBS: Minimum 5 years as a General Practitioner from the date of NMC/State Medical Council registration.
• Experience for PG degree: Minimum 3 years as a General Practitioner from the date of registration.
• Internship: Internship experience is not counted for eligibility.

Age Limit

• Maximum age is 35 years as on 31 May 2026.
• Age Relaxation: OBC 3 years, SC/ST 5 years, PwBD 10 to 15 years depending on category, and eligible Ex-Servicemen 5 years.

Salary

• Pay scale is Rs. 64,820-93,960 per month under MMGS-II.
• Bank Medical Officers get Non-Practicing Allowance at 20% of basic pay.
• Higher start is available: one increment for PG diploma and two increments for MS/MD or equivalent.
• You will also get DA, HRA, CCA, PF, NPS, LFC, medical facility and other benefits as per SBI rules.

Selection Process

The selection is through online written test, interview and local language proficiency test.

1. Online Written Test: Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and English are qualifying sections. Professional Knowledge carries 50 questions for 100 marks.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will attend an interview of 100 marks.
3. Final Merit: Written test carries 70% weightage and interview carries 30% weightage.
4. Local Language Proficiency Test: Provisionally selected candidates must qualify in the opted circle language unless they studied that language in Class 10 or 12.
