The District Mission Management Unit, Mahalir Thittam, under the Tamil Nadu State Rural Livelihoods Mission, has released a notification to fill 197 vacant Community Bank Coordinator posts across 20 blocks of Salem district. This is a great chance for local women who are part of Self Help Groups to get a contract job close to home. Only existing SHG members from federations in panchayats that have vacancies can apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have passed 12th class.
• Language and Maths Skills: You should be able to read and write Tamil and English well and be good at basic arithmetic.
• SHG Experience: You must have worked in a Self Help Group for at least 2 years.
• Federation Membership: You must be a member of a village-level Panchayat federation in a panchayat that has a vacancy.
• Target Group: You must be identified as a target poor person under the Participatory Identification of Poor process.
• Smartphone: You must have an Android phone and be able to send SMS and WhatsApp messages and use apps.
• Banking Experience: You should have experience visiting banks for transactions and filling out loan applications.
• Communication: Good communication skills are needed.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have computer skills and a two-wheeler with a valid driving licence.

Age Limit

• You must be under 35 years of age.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is done by the block-level federation based on your eligibility, SHG experience, and the conditions above. Selected candidates will be appointed on a contract basis.
