SAI KISCE Assam Head Coach Recruitment 2026 - 2 Posts

Sports Authority of India (SAI) through the Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare, Assam is looking for experienced Head Coaches in Boxing and Weightlifting to train athletes at the Khelo India State Centre of Excellence (KISCE), located at the State Sports Academy of Assam, Arjun Bhogeswar Baruah Sports Complex, Guwahati. This is a rare opportunity for seasoned coaches who have represented India at the highest level or hold prestigious awards like Dronacharya or Arjuna to shape the next generation of champions. The positions are open to Indian citizens on a contract basis.

Who Can Apply?

Route 1 - Coaching Qualification + International Representation:

• Qualification: Diploma in Coaching from SAI/NSNIS, Patiala or from any other recognized Indian or Foreign University
• Experience: Must have represented India in Olympics, World Cup, or World Championship
• Certificate: Certificate Course from the concerned National or International Federation is mandatory
• Computer Knowledge: Working knowledge of computers is essential
• Coaching Experience: Minimum 10 years of coaching experience required

Route 2 - Awards or Medal Production Record:

• Experience of coaching Senior or Junior Indian Teams
• OR Dronacharya Award, Arjuna Award, or Dhyan Chand Award recipient
• OR proven track record of producing medallists in International Competitions
• Coaching Experience: Minimum 10 years of coaching experience required

Route 3 - Government/PSU Employees (Deputation):

• Central Government, State Government, or PSU employees may apply
• Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) rules will apply for deputation postings

Route 4 - SAI Permanent Employees:

• Permanent employees of Sports Authority of India (SAI) can apply by sending a self-attested letter to the Senior Director (Khelo India) at sai.slkic@gmail.com
• They do not need to apply through the main advertisement route

• Maximum age: Below 50 years

Salary

• Monthly salary ranges from Rs. 1,00,000 to Rs. 1,50,000
• This is a consolidated remuneration on contract basis

Selection Process

The selection will be based on qualifications, experience, and achievements as outlined in the notification:

• Train and coach athletes in Boxing or Weightlifting at the Khelo India State Centre of Excellence

• Coordinate with sports science staff on nutrition, injury prevention, and recovery programs
