Raman Research Institute (RRI) Research Assistant Recruitment 2026 - 3 Posts
Raman Research Institute (RRI), a premier scientific research institute funded by the Government of India and located in Bangalore, has released Advertisement No. 10/2026 for 3 Research Assistant posts on a temporary basis. These posts are specifically for the APSERa (A Probe of the Surface of Epoch of Reionization and Atoms) experiment — a novel radio astronomy project designed to detect spectral distortions in the cosmic radio background, probing the formation of the very first atoms in the Universe. APSERa operates over a radio frequency range of 2-4 GHz. The contract is for one year, extendable to two years based on performance and project requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh B.E./B.Tech graduates who want hands-on experience in cutting-edge RF electronics, antenna design, or digital instrumentation for real-world astronomy research.
Vacancy Details — 3 Posts (Specialised Roles)
The three posts correspond to three distinct technical areas of the APSERa experiment:
- Post 1 — Analog RF System: Work on designing PCBs, filters, system calibration, hardware testing, and integration for the analog Radio Frequency system of APSERa.
- Post 2 — Electromagnetic Analysis: Work on electromagnetic analysis, simulation, and testing including antennas, support structures, and radomes for APSERa.
- Post 3 — Digital Instrumentation: Work on firmware design and hardware implementation using FPGAs, including control, automation, and status monitoring for APSERa.
