Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has released Advertisement No. 02/Pariksha/RAS&RTS/RPSC/EP-I/2026-27 for 607 posts across the State and Subordinate Services of the Rajasthan Government. This includes 192 State Services posts (like Rajasthan Administrative Service, Rajasthan Police Service, Rajasthan Accounts Service) and 415 Subordinate Services posts (like Tehsildar, Cooperative Service, and others). Any graduate can apply — there is no experience needed, so freshers are welcome too.

The Subordinate Services include posts such as Tehsildar, Rajasthan Cooperative Subordinate Service, Rajasthan Labour Welfare Subordinate Service, Rajasthan Food & Civil Supplies Subordinate Service, District Probation-cum-Social Welfare Officer and other allied posts.
The number of posts may increase or decrease based on the actual vacancies reported by the departments.
Who Can Apply?
- Qualification: You must hold a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a university established by law in India, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government.
- Final-year students: Candidates appearing in the final year of their degree can also apply for the Preliminary Exam, but must produce proof of passing the degree before the Main Examination.
- Language: You must have working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture.
Age Limit
- You should be between 21 and 40 years old as on 1 January 2027.
- Age Relaxation: Male candidates of Rajasthan SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS get 5 years; women of these categories get 10 years; General category women get 5 years.
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities: Get an extra 5 years relaxation.
- Widows and divorced women have no upper age limit (with valid proof).
Salary
- State Services posts: Pay Matrix Level L-12 to L-14 (basic pay up to Rs. 56,100 per month for RAS).
- Subordinate Services posts: Pay Matrix Level L-10 to L-11 (basic pay from around Rs. 33,800 per month).
- You will also get DA, HRA, TA, medical benefits and pension as per Rajasthan Government rules.

Selection Process
The selection will be done in three stages:
- Preliminary Examination: A single objective (MCQ) paper of 200 marks used only as a screening test. Marks scored here are not added to the final merit.
- Main Examination: Descriptive (written) papers. Only candidates who clear the Prelims are called for the Mains.
- Interview / Personality Test: Candidates who qualify the Mains are called for the interview. The final merit is based on Mains marks plus Interview marks.

Responsibilities
- Handle administration and revenue work in the assigned district or department
- Implement government schemes and welfare programmes at the ground level
- Maintain law and order and coordinate with police and local bodies
- Manage revenue collection, land records, and public grievances
- Prepare official reports, notes, and correspondence for senior officers
- Supervise subordinate staff and monitor field operations
- Attend court and departmental matters as required by the service rules

Exam Pattern
The RPSC RAS selection has three stages: Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, and Interview.
Preliminary Examination
A single objective (MCQ) paper for 200 marks. This is only a screening test — your marks here are not counted in the final merit. It covers General Knowledge and General Science, including Rajasthan's history, culture, geography, economy, Indian polity, current affairs, and reasoning.
Main Examination
Descriptive (written) papers held at the Bachelor's Degree level. Only candidates who clear the Prelims appear for the Mains.
