The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has released a notification for 371 Assistant Prosecution Officer posts in the Prosecution Department of the Rajasthan Government. These posts are split into 355 for Non-Scheduled Area (Non-SA) and 15 for Scheduled Area (SA). Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• You must have a Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) from a university established by law in India.
• You must have working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script.
• You should have knowledge of Rajasthani dialects and the social customs of Rajasthan.

Age Limit

• You should be between 21 and 40 years old as on 1 January 2027.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC/EWS and other reserved categories of Rajasthan get age relaxation as per Rajasthan Government rules. Women, PwBD and other special categories also get relaxation as per rules.

Salary

• Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Matrix Level 11 with a pay range of Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Rajasthan Government rules.

• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) / EBC (Non-Creamy Layer) of Rajasthan: Rs. 400

Selection Process

Selection is done in the following stages:

1. Preliminary Examination: Objective type (MCQ) screening test based mainly on Law. It is a qualifying stage used to shortlist candidates for the Main Exam.
2. Main Examination: Written descriptive exam on Law papers. Merit for the final selection is based on the Main Exam.
3. Interview / Personality Test (if applicable) and Document Verification.

3. Fill in the online application form for Assistant Prosecution Officer 2026.
