The Office of the District Project Coordinator cum Secretary, District RMSA Unit, South West Garo Hills (Ampati), Government of Meghalaya has released advertisement number SWGH/RMSA/2/Advertisement/2026/66 dated 11 May 2026 for the post of Assistant Teacher (Mathematics) in upgraded Govt. and SSA U.P. School under South West Garo Hills. Only candidates willing to serve in the interior areas can apply. Reservation policy is as per the Government of Meghalaya. Selection will be done through an interview.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a B.Sc (PCM) degree with B.Ed, preferably with a Major in one of the Mathematics subjects.
• Domicile: You must be a citizen of Meghalaya.
• Working Conditions: Only candidates willing to serve in the interior areas should apply.
• Added Advantage: Certified diploma in Computer or knowledge of ICT in teaching-learning process, active involvement in sports, co-curricular activities, Art/Craft/Culture.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 32 years old.
• Age Relaxation: As per state norms for Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste candidates.
• Candidates already serving in Government Aided Schools can apply up to 40 years.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs. 34,250 per month as per the new Structure Pay Framework.
• The post is on contract basis initially for a period of one year and to be reviewed and renewed annually.

Selection Process

The selection will be done through the following stages:

1. Application Screening: Shortlisting of eligible candidates based on the application form and bio-data.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. The date and venue will be notified later.
3. Document Verification: You must produce original documents and certificates during the interview for verification. Photocopies of relevant documents must be submitted for record.

Note: No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

• Serve in interior school locations as assigned by the District RMSA Unit
