Chandigarh Administration Senior Assistant Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The Department of Animal Husbandry & Fisheries, Chandigarh Administration has issued a vacancy circular to fill 1 vacant post of Senior Assistant (Group B) on deputation basis. The initial deputation will be for a period of one year, which can be extended from time to time or reduced according to requirement. Only serving officials of Central Government, State Government, or UT Administrations can apply through proper channel.

Who Can Apply?

This post is open only for serving government officials being deputed. You must meet both Service condition (A) and Educational condition (B) below.

(A) Service Conditions

• You should be working in Central Government, State Government, or Union Territory Administration, AND
• Either (i) Holding an analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; OR
• (ii) Have completed 6 years of service in the grade after regular appointment in posts of Pay Band-1 Rs. 5,200-20,200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2,800 (or equivalent) in the parent cadre or department

(B) Educational Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree from a recognised University or Institute
• 2 years of experience in administration, establishment, or accounts in a Government Office

Salary

• Pay Scale: Rs. 9,300-34,800 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4,200
• Pay Level: Level 6 as per the 7th Central Pay Commission
• You will also get DA, HRA, TA, and other allowances as per Central Government rules applicable to deputationists

Selection Process

Selection is on deputation basis and follows the standard government procedure:

1. Screening of Applications: Eligible candidates are shortlisted based on service records, qualifications, and experience
2. Document Verification: APAR dossier, Integrity Certificate, and Vigilance Clearance are checked
3. Final Selection: The competent authority approves the deputation
