RITES Limited Metro Expert Empanelment 2026 - Multiple Expert Categories

RITES Limited, a Navratna and Schedule A Central Public Sector Enterprise, has issued EOI No. Rites/Metro/Emp/Experts/2026/01 dated 29 May 2026. The empanelment is for experts who can support GC/PMC assignments for Metro Rail and rail-based urban transit projects in India and abroad. The empanelment does not guarantee immediate engagement. RITES will prepare a pool of qualified experts and may later engage them for project-specific assignments as per requirement. If engaged, the duration, scope and professional rates will be finalised separately for the concerned project.

Expert Categories Covered

No fixed number of vacancies is given in the EOI. RITES is building an expert pool for multiple GC/PMC roles across civil, track, structures, systems and specialised consultancy areas.

• Civil, Track and Structures: Project Director, Deputy Project Director, Resident Engineer, Track Expert, Alignment Expert, Geotechnical Expert, Structural Expert and related roles.
• Systems: Deputy Project Director (Systems), System Integration Manager, Traction and Power Supply Expert, Signalling and Telecom Expert, Rolling Stock Expert, O&M Expert and E&M/Lift/Escalator Expert.
• Specialised Experts: Planning and Scheduling Expert, Contract Management/Claims Expert, Financial Expert, BIM Manager, Social/R&R Expert, Safety Expert, Environment Expert and QA/QC Expert.
• Annexure-A roles: The detailed qualification table runs from Project Director/Civil to Sr. O&M Expert and includes senior, chief and regular expert levels.

Who Can Apply?

General Eligibility

• Individual expert only: The EOI is for individual professionals with proven experience in GC/PMC or similar consultancy assignments.
• Sector experience: Your experience should be in Metro Rail, MRTS, RRTS, Semi-HSR, HSR, Railways or major transportation infrastructure projects, depending on the position.
• Level requirement: Experience should be at the same level or one level below the position you apply for.
• Language: You need good working knowledge of English for speaking, reading and writing.
• Registration: Statutory registration is required where applicable, such as Council of Architecture registration for architecture roles.

Qualification and Experience Range

• Senior civil/project roles: Graduation in Civil Engineering with up to 25 years total experience and at least 10 years relevant MRTS/RRTS/HSR experience for top project roles.
• Systems roles: Electrical, electronics, communication, mechanical or equivalent engineering background with 15 to 22 years total experience for many senior system roles.
• Specialised design roles: Civil Engineering plus relevant postgraduate specialisation may be needed for structural, geotechnical and environment roles.
• Architecture roles: Architecture degree and Council of Architecture registration are required for architecture expert roles.
• Specialised support roles: BIM, QS/billing, finance, social impact, safety, environment and QA/QC roles have separate qualification and experience conditions in Annexure-A.

Salary / Rates

• Fixed salary: The EOI does not mention a fixed salary or monthly pay scale.
• Project-wise engagement: Engagement terms, duration and scope will be decided separately for each project.
• Rates: Professional rates will be negotiated at the time of engagement.
• No automatic engagement: Empanelment does not create a right to appointment or payment unless RITES engages the expert for a project.

Selection Process

RITES will evaluate EOIs based on eligibility, qualification and relevant experience. The company may also ask for clarifications or conduct an interaction before preparing the empanelled list.

1. Application scrutiny: RITES checks whether the CV, qualification certificates and experience documents match Annexure-A.
2. Experience evaluation: Relevant Metro Rail, Railways, MRTS, RRTS, Semi-HSR, HSR or major transportation infrastructure experience is reviewed.
3. Clarification / interaction: RITES may seek clarifications or conduct an interaction if required.
4. Empanelment list: A list of empanelled experts will be prepared and shared by email.
5. Project engagement: Actual engagement, if any, will happen only when RITES needs experts for a specific assignment.

• Prepare tender documents, specifications, manuals and technical reports for metro/rail projects
• Handle construction supervision for civil, track, structures and systems-related project work
• Monitor planning, scheduling, progress reporting, quality, safety and environmental compliance
• Review contractor designs, drawings, method statements and technical submittals
• Manage contract administration, quantity surveying, billing verification and cost control tasks
• Assist with interface management, system integration, testing, commissioning and trial operations
• Support defect liability period and operations-readiness work when assigned to a project
