RITES Group GM/GM Mechanical Recruitment 2026: Overview
RITES Limited is inviting serving railway officers for Group General Manager and General Manager (Mechanical) under Vacancy Circular No. 17/26 (D). This Mechanical Engineering recruitment follows the service-channel procedure described in the original circular. Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical engineering teams on RITES' railway, metro, and infrastructure consultancy projects
- Oversee technical compliance and quality control for mechanical works
- Coordinate with railway zones, client departments, and government agencies on project execution
- Review and approve engineering designs, tenders, and technical specifications
- Monitor budgets, timelines, and manpower allocation for mechanical projects
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and project staff
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and statutory regulations on assigned projects
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
Serving IRSME (Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers) officer in Group A, with 18 years of service at Senior Administrative Grade (SG) or Non-Functional Selection Grade (NFSG)/SG level
Required Skills
Mechanical engineering project management experience on Indian Railways or public sector infrastructure projects
