RITES Limited is hiring 1 Deputy Project Director (Electrification) on a contract basis for its Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor (HORC) project. This is only for retired Government or PSU employees who have a degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering and at least 20 years of work experience. The maximum age is 63 years as on 30 June 2026. RITES Limited Deputy Project Director (Electrification) Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

RITES Limited, a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, is providing general consultancy services for the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor (HORC) running from Palwal to Sonipat via Sohna, Manesar and Kharkhoda. For this project, RITES needs experienced retired professionals to join as a Deputy Project Director / Electrification (VC No. 42/26 E). This is a contract role on fixed terms, ideal for retired railway or metro electrification experts who want to keep contributing after retirement.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• Essential: Graduate degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, OR a combination of any sub-stream of basic Electrical/Electronics Engineering from a recognised University/Institution.
• Preferred: Retired/voluntarily retired IRSEE officer of Indian Railway, or equivalent grade in other railway systems.

Work Experience

• You must have at least 20 years of total professional experience (after the essential qualification).
• Relevant experience: At least 10 years handling electrification projects of Railway, metro, regional or sub-urban rail (or eligible works), including at least 5 years as In-charge or one level below In-charge of a project/section with a Project Management Consultant, General Consultant or Construction Agency.
• OR at least 3 years in JA Grade and above in Construction/Railway Electrification (RE) department, and/or as JGM and above in Electrical Engineering in RITES/IRCON/RVNL or equivalent grade in Konkan Railway/MRVC/DFCCIL/any Metro Rail Corporation, plus at least 5 years in electrification projects in any grade.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in MDB (Multilateral Development Bank) financed projects.

Important Condition

• Only retired Government/PSU employees can apply.
• Those who had any major or minor penalties imposed during the last 5 years of service are not eligible.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 63 years as on 30 June 2026.

Salary

• The salary is negotiable and will be decided as per company policy once your CV is approved by the client.
• The engagement is on a fixed remuneration, contract basis.

Selection Process

Selection is based on screening of your experience and approval by the client:

1. CV Screening: Your registration and CV will be checked against the eligibility and experience requirements.
2. Client Approval: Your actual deployment depends on approval of your CV by the client.
3. Document Verification: You must submit pension papers, service certificate, last pay-slip and other proofs.
