Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) Project Associate Recruitment 2026 - 2 Posts

Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), located at the NCR Biotech Science Cluster on the Faridabad-Gurgaon Expressway, has invited applications for 2 project positions — Project Associate-II and Senior Project Associate — under the research project "Polyphosphate Signalling in Microbial Pathogenesis and Host Immunity", led by Principal Investigator Dr. C.V. Srikanth, Professor. The project studies how polyphosphate signalling in disease-causing microbes affects gut inflammation and the way the human body's immune system responds — useful for anyone interested in microbiology, immunology, or gut disease research. Both posts are purely project-based and initially offered for 1 year, extendable based on annual evaluation for the duration of the project. No written exam is held — selection happens through an online interview. The Senior Project Associate role needs more research experience and pays more than the Project Associate-II role.

Who Can Apply?

For Project Associate-II (Rs. 28,000-35,000/month):

• You need a Master's Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc, or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or Medicine from a recognized university.
• Plus 2 years' experience in research and development at industrial/academic institutions or science and technology organizations, OR a Doctoral Degree in Science/Engineering/Technology/Pharma/MD/MS.
• Preferred: Experience handling microbes, gut pathogens, murine colitis models, cell culture, and molecular biology techniques such as gene cloning, confocal microscopy, and mass spectrometry.

For Senior Project Associate (Rs. 42,000/month):

• You need a Master's Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc, or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or Medicine from a recognized university.
• Plus 4 years' experience in research and development at industrial/academic institutions or science and technology organizations.
• Preferred: Experience with gut pathogens, murine colitis models, inflammation-related human assays, protein purification, and computational analysis of biological data.

Salary

• Project Associate-II: Rs. 35,000/month plus 27% HRA if you are NET/GATE (or equivalent national-level exam) qualified, or Rs. 28,000/month plus 27% HRA if not.
• Senior Project Associate: Rs. 42,000/month plus 27% HRA.

Selection Process

There is no written exam for these posts. Selection happens in 1 stage:
