PIPMATE, an institute sponsored by the Government of Puducherry, has invited applications to engage 2 Consultants on a contract basis at its office in Lawspet, Puducherry. The two posts are for the Establishment Section (1) and the Accounts Section (1). Only retired Government officials can apply — this is a re-engagement of experienced retired staff, not a fresh hire.

Who Can Apply?

• Only retired Government officials can apply — specifically retired Superintendents and retired Assistants.
• You should have a clean record — no vigilance proceedings pending and vigilance clearance at the time of retirement.
• Desirable: Computer knowledge.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 65 years. The engagement continues until you reach 65 years of age.

Salary

• The consultant fee is your Last Pay Drawn minus Pension minus Dearness Allowance, on a full-time basis.
• No other allowances are paid, except TA on official tour at the rate for a regular Government officer of the equivalent post.
• You get 12 days of leave in a calendar year on a pro-rata basis.

Application Fee

• No application fee is mentioned in the notification. You only pay stamp duty and similar charges on the agreement after selection.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

1. Shortlisting: The Consultancy Evaluation Committee of PIPMATE reviews all applications received.
2. Government Approval: The shortlist is sent for the approval of the Government of Puducherry.
3. Agreement: Selected officials sign an agreement in the prescribed form before joining.

The engagement is purely temporary and can be cancelled at any time by the employer without giving a reason.

How to Apply

1. Fill the application form in the format given in Annexure-I of the notification.
2. Attach a copy of your PPO (Pension Payment Order) and proof of your last pay drawn.
3. Put the filled form in an envelope and superscribe it: "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF CONSULTANT IN PIPMATE OFFICE".
4. Send or submit it to the Member Secretary, Pondicherry Institute of Post-Matric Technical Education (PIPMATE), Lawspet, Puducherry - 605 008.
5. Make sure it reaches on or before 6 July 2026 (date subject to change based on approval).
