The Punjab Ex-Servicemen Corporation (PESCO), based at SCO 89-90, Sector 34-A, Chandigarh, has released Recruitment Notice No. 502(ii)/AD/PESCO-08 for 2 Assistant posts under the JCOs/Other Ranks (Ex-Servicemen only) category. PESCO is a Punjab Government body that helps re-employ retired defence personnel, and it needs medically fit retired Defence Services personnel for these clerical roles. Candidates with a Punjab domicile and a computer diploma or degree will be given preference. If you are a retired serviceman from a clerical background who is comfortable with computers, this is a simple way to keep working in a government setup.

Who Can Apply?

• Background: You must be a retired JCO or equivalent rank from the Army, Air Force, or Navy.
• Trade: You should be from a clerical trade with a minimum of 20 years of service.
• Education: Matriculation with Punjabi.
• Computer skills: You must be computer proficient with a typing speed of 30 WPM and good at MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Language: Knowledge of Punjabi (including typing) is desirable.
• Domicile: Punjab domicile is preferred.
• Medical fitness: You must be medically fit.

Salary

• The salary is paid as per DC (Deputy Commissioner) rates fixed by the Punjab Government.

Selection Process

Selection is based on an interview:
