Who Can Apply?

• Gender: Only women can apply for these posts.
• Qualification: You must have passed Intermediate (12th class) from a recognised board. There is no upper qualification limit — higher qualifications up to Post-Graduation are counted to improve your merit score.
• Residence: You must be a permanent resident of the same gram sabha or ward where the post is located. Applications from other gram sabhas or wards are not accepted, so apply only for a post in your own area.

Salary

• This is an honorarium-based post under the ICDS scheme, paid jointly by the Central and State Governments as per Uttar Pradesh government rules.
• Since Anganwadi Worker is an honorary position, it does not follow a 7th Pay Commission pay scale, and allowances like DA, HRA or TA do not apply.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no exam. Selection works like this:

1. Merit List: A merit list is prepared from your educational marks. The minimum qualification counted is Intermediate and the highest counted is Post-Graduation, so your school and college results decide your rank.
2. Residence Check: You must be a permanent resident of the gram sabha or ward of the post.
3. Document Verification: Your certificates are checked before final selection.

The final decision is taken by the district-level selection committee, and its decision is binding.
