The Office of the District Programme Officer (ICDS), Bagpat, under the Uttar Pradesh Women and Child Development Department, has released a notice for 635 honorarium-based posts — Anganwadi Worker (Karyakatri) and Anganwadi Helper (Sahayika) — in Anganwadi centres across the district. The Baraut project alone has the most posts, with 154 Worker and 150 Helper vacancies. This is a strong chance for local women to get Anganwadi work close to home.

Who Can Apply?

Anganwadi Worker (Karyakatri) — 261 Posts

• Qualification: You must have passed Intermediate (12th) or an equivalent exam. The merit list is made from your highest qualification marks.

Anganwadi Helper (Sahayika) — 374 Posts

• Qualification: You must have passed at least Class 5 (5th). Merit is prepared on the basis of your educational qualification.

Common Rules for Both Posts

• Gender: Only women can apply.
• Domicile: You must be a permanent resident of the same Gram Sabha or Ward where the post is vacant. Forms from any other area will be rejected.
• Preference: First preference goes to BPL widows, then legally divorced or abandoned women, then other BPL women; after that the same order for APL women.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 35 years old as on 1 January 2026.
• Your date of birth will be taken from your High School (10th) certificate only.

Salary (Honorarium)

• These are honorarium-based (mandey) posts, not regular pay-scale jobs.
• You will get a fixed monthly honorarium as decided by the UP Women and Child Development Department. The Helper honorarium is lower than the Worker honorarium, and the state revises these amounts from time to time.

Application Fee

• There is no application fee for any candidate.
• The whole process is free — you only need to apply online.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam for either post. Selection is done like this:

1. Merit List: A merit list is prepared from your educational marks — Intermediate for the Worker post and qualification marks for the Helper post.
2. Priority Order: Within the same Gram Sabha or Ward, preference is given to BPL widows, then divorced or abandoned women, then other BPL women, and then the same order for APL women.
3. Document Verification: Your certificates (age, qualification, residence, income and caste) are checked before final selection.

3. Register and fill in the online application form carefully.
4. Upload your self-attested documents and a passport-size photo.
5. Submit the form before 16 July 2026 and save a printout.
