(PDCC Bank) has released a notification for 289 Shipai (Peon) posts through direct recruitment (Saral Seva Bharti) in 2026. 100% of these posts are reserved for candidates who are original residents of Pune district for at least 15 years, so this is a big local opportunity. The written exam is offline and OMR-based, conducted in Marathi. HSC-pass or Diploma-holder candidates who meet the domicile requirement should apply before the deadline.
Who Can Apply?
- Qualification: You must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC / 12th) exam or an equivalent Diploma.
- Domicile: You must be an original resident of Pune district for a minimum of 15 years. A Domicile Certificate (issued after 2018) is mandatory.
- For married women from outside Pune district: You can apply using your husband's Pune district domicile certificate along with your marriage registration certificate.
- Physical fitness: You must be physically fit to handle the duties of a Shipai (Peon) post.
- Languages: You should know Marathi, Hindi and English.
Age Limit
- You should be between 18 and 38 years old as on 01 August 2026.
- Age Relaxation: If you are working on contract basis in a similar government/semi-government organisation with at least 3 years of continuous experience (as on 01 August 2026), you can apply up to 43 years.
Salary
- Selected candidates are first appointed for a 6-month probation period and get a consolidated salary of Rs. 12,000 per month during probation.
- After confirmation, pay moves to the bank's regular Shipai pay scale plus DA, HRA and other allowances as per bank rules.

- All candidates: Rs. 1,650 (plus 18% GST and service charges).
- The fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
- Payment mode: Online only — UPI, debit card, credit card, net banking, or mobile wallet (GPay, PhonePe, BHIM, etc.).
Selection Process
The selection will be done in stages:
- Offline Written Exam (OMR Based): 70 questions for 70 marks in 75 minutes, in Marathi medium.
- Document Verification: Candidates are shortlisted in a 1:3 ratio per vacancy based on written exam marks, and their certificates are checked.
- Interview: 30 marks, based on your personality, physical fitness, communication skills, basic banking knowledge, local knowledge of Pune district, and co-operative principles.
- Final Merit List: Your written exam and interview marks are combined out of 100 for the final merit list. A waiting list of 20% of vacancies is also prepared, valid for one year.
