ONGC CA CMA Industrial Trainee Recruitment 2026: Overview

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), the Maharatna public sector company that explores and produces oil and gas in India and abroad, is offering Industrial Training seats to CA and CMA Intermediate pass-outs. The seats are split equally between students of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI), and the training runs at ONGC offices in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Vadodara and Kolkata.

This is a stipend-paid training engagement for CA and CMA students, not a regular job. It is a chance to see the finance and costing side of one of India's biggest energy companies from the inside while you continue your professional course.

Posts and Disciplines

Seats are spread across all five cities in both streams, with Delhi and Mumbai holding the largest share and Vadodara and Kolkata only a few seats each.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Stipend by city: Trainees in the Category X cities (Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata) get a higher stipend than those in Category Y (Vadodara), and the amount goes up in the second year of training.
• Preference: ONGC wards and candidates who cleared the Intermediate exam in the first attempt get preference during selection.
• Reserved seats: Any reserved seat that stays unfilled goes to an unreserved candidate.
• Leave: Leave follows the rules of your own institute, ICAI or ICMAI.
• Stay and travel: You must arrange your own boarding, lodging and travel; ONGC does not provide them.
• Interview cost: The interview may be online, offline or over the phone, and you attend it at your own expense.
• Final say: ONGC keeps the right to make the final selection and will not reply to queries about it.

Application Submission Notes

You apply through ONGC's Google Form; the link is also shared on ongcindia.com. Keep these upload rules in mind:

• File names: Name every file with your full name exactly as it appears on your Class 10 certificate, followed by the document type, for example yourname_Photo or yourname_DOB.
• Formats: Upload the photo as a JPG and every other document as a PDF.
• Intermediate marksheets: Make two separate PDFs for Group 1 and Group 2, and include the marksheets of any failed attempts.
• ONGC wards: Upload your parent's or relative's ONGC employee ID and enter that employee's CPF number in the form.
• Self-attestation: All uploaded copies must be self-attested.
