National Institute of Technology Warangal (NIT Warangal) has released a notification for 1 Project Assistant post under an AR&DB, DRDO-sponsored research project titled "Post Processing of Additive Manufactured Conformal Cooling Channels by Pulsed Electrochemical Polishing and Abrasive Chemical Polishing", in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Candidates with hands-on experience in additive manufacturing and powder bed/laser DED machines will be preferred. This is a purely temporary, project-based position for 2 years.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with First Class (60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA), followed by an M.Tech in Manufacturing, Production, Materials Technology, Welding Technology, Computer-Integrated Manufacturing, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Systems Engineering Design, Powder Metallurgy, or any other relevant Mechanical Engineering specialization, also with First Class (60% or 6.5 CGPA).
• Preferred: Hands-on experience in additive manufacturing, operating a powder bed machine or laser DED machine, and post-processing experimentation.

Age Limit

• You should not be older than 35 years.
• Age Relaxation: Up to 5 years for SC/ST, PwBD and Women candidates; 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates.

Salary

• You will get Rs. 20,000 + HRA per month for the full 2-year project duration.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on your application and an interview:

1. Screening: Applications are checked against the eligibility criteria.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates attend an interview, which may be conducted online or offline. If online, you should have a good internet connection.

No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview. The list of shortlisted candidates will be announced on the institute website and through email or phone.
