National Institute of Technology Warangal (NIT Warangal), an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, has invited applications for one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position under an ASEAN-ANRF (Govt. of India) sponsored project titled "Synergizing AR/VR and Hand Gestures to Enhance Industrial Assembly and Disassembly Performance". The project duration is 1 year. The selected JRF is also eligible to register for a Ph.D. at NIT Warangal when the next admission window opens.

Who Can Apply?

• UG: B.Tech / B.E. or equivalent in Mechanical / Production / Mechatronics / Electronics & Communication / Electrical / Computer Science / AI & Data Science
• PG: M.Tech / M.E. / Master's / M.S. (by Research) in Mechanical / Production / ECE / Electrical / Mechatronics / Computer Science / AI & Data Science in related fields
• Minimum marks: First class with 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA at both UG and PG for General / OBC-NCL / EWS; 55% or 6.0 CGPA for SC / ST / PwD
• Experience: Candidates with experience in AR (Augmented Reality) and VR (Virtual Reality) software like Unity, Unreal Engine, ARKit, ARCore, Vuforia and Adobe Aero for manufacturing assembly and disassembly are preferred
• Desirable: Programming experience in Python, C#, Unity, Unreal Engine, Vuforia and Adobe Aero

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 32 years
• Age relaxation: Up to 5 years for SC / ST / OBC, women and persons with disabilities

Salary

• Consolidated fellowship: Rs. 37,000 per month for the first 2 years
• HRA as per NIT Warangal institute rules
• Eligible for on-campus hostel and mess facilities, subject to availability
• The selected candidate can register for a Ph.D. at NIT Warangal when the institute opens admissions

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will attend an online or offline interview. If online, you must have a good internet connection.

• Conduct AR/VR assembly and disassembly training model development using Unity, C# and Python

• Run experimental studies, interpret results and prepare detailed reports
• Use tools like Unity, Unreal Engine, ARKit, ARCore, Vuforia and Adobe Aero for prototype development
• Maintain accurate project documentation and assist in writing research papers
• Coordinate with the Principal Investigator for project deliverables and progress reviews
